She is now in the presence of her Father in Heaven and was welcomed into the open arms of her eternal family. Joyclyn was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Franklin, Idaho, in a two-room home on a hill to Donald P. Hobbs and Julia Johnson with another brother, Donald "J", at home. She had three brothers and two sisters, Donald "J" (Fran) Hobbs, both deceased, Jerald George Hobbs, deceased, Mary Patricia (Wendell) Gardner of Amarillo, Texas, Julia Ann Hobbs, deceased, and Clint Lorenzo (Jean) of Salmon, Idaho; and later, a little sister, Carla Fisher. She grew up in Franklin, Idaho, and was the last graduating class from Franklin High School. She married Wayne Perry on June 3, 1946; they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on April 16, 1965. The were blessed with five children, Marsha (Michael) Elison of Blackfoot, Idaho, Debra (Pete) Peterson of Riverdale, Idaho, Courtney Wayne Perry (deceased), Mark H. Perry of Franklin, Idaho, and Eleanor Perry of Franklin. After 34 years of marriage, her husband and our father passed away March 20, 1982. Joyclyn married Hal W. Fisher on Oct. 26, 1985, and acquired three more sons, Rex O. Fisher of Rock Springs, Wyo., Curtis H. (Kami) Fisher of River Heights, Utah, and Kile F. (Jennifer) Fisher of Smithfield, Utah. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she had a strong testimony of the gospel. She served in various positions in the church and especially enjoyed being a councilor of the Relief Society. During her life, she had a love for horses and was an attendant to the rodeo queen. Joyclyn was always a caring and loving homemaker and admired the simpler things in life. She was a beautiful embroider, loved her yard and gardening and canned everything that she produced. Her specialties in handwork were the pillowcases that she did for all of her children and grandchildren. She bottled raspberry jam for family and friends. She always had a book in her hand and read to her children and grandchildren. Family nights were spent reading, playing board games, and putting jigsaw puzzles together. Her scriptures were always by her side. She made time to give thanks for the Lord's hands in all she did. In her later years, she enjoyed Hal and the trips they took with their friends. She and Hal spent almost every hour with each other. They loved the time that was spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They attended their activities and rejoiced in their accomplishments. Every summer was spent with granddaughter, Courtney, who was their companion and helper. Her love was great for her grandchildren, Heidi, Eric, McKenzie, Justin, Jared, Misty, Christopher, Courtney, Sarinja, Jaimy, Cameron, Tashina, Jamy, Nick, Cody, Kiley, Madison, Destrie and Britney, and great-grandchildren, Derek, Cetra, Levi, Angel, Whitney, Bailey, Tyrel, Keagan, Shelby, Riley and Reagan. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be at noon, Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at the Smithfield North Stake Center, 155 W. 400 North. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, 85 S. Main, Smithfield, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Franklin, Idaho, Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com.
