He was born on October 9, 1954, in Twin Falls, Idaho. At the age of 3 he was adopted by George Ivan and Ruth Archibald Aston. He lived and attended school in Dayton, Idaho, where he enjoyed many friends and fun times. Roger served a full-time mission for the LDS Church in the Indianapolis, Indiana, mission. After returning from his mission, he married a Dayton girl, Nancy Coleman. They lived in Preston where they raised their family. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was active in the Scouting program in the ward. He leaves his children and grandchildren his passion for hard work, seeing a task through, and love of his family. Roger is survived by his children, Rachel Lynn (Jeffe) Privett, of Preston; Amanda Ruth (Tony) Winn, of Preston; Crystal Hamblin, of Preston; and Ryan Lee Aston, of Logan, UT; his mother, Ruth Aston, of Dayton, ID; five grandchildren, and a brother, Kent Aston. He was preceded in death by his father, George, and a sister, Suzy Aston. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 North State, with Bishop Blayne Rounds conducting. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Webb Funeral Home, 109 east Oneida, in Preston and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
