Born March 23, 1928, in Glendale, Idaho to Lewis B. and Martha S. Porter. Married Wendell Leon Dewey August 4, 1952. Marriage later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. Wendell preceded her in death on November 17, 2000. Reatha was retired from the phone company. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully in a variety of positions. She was also the family genealogist with which she found great satisfaction. She had a great inner strength, adaptability and testimony which fortified her and allowed her to endure well to the very end. Her family is her greatest love. She is survived by her children, David Scott (Bonnie), Julia, Brad (Susan), Jeb Ardel (LeAnn), 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother and sister. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9,! 2008 at the Heritage Ward, 67 W. 6280 S., Murray, UT where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
