She passed away May 6, 2008, in Preston, Idaho. Nellie married Albert Lamar Harris on Oct. 26, 1935, in Randlett, Utah, where they farmed. Nellie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where among many other positions, she served for 13 consecutive years in the Relief Society Presidency. In a life marked by service to others, Nellie's famous cinnamon rolls were delivered to countless friends and family. She was an amazing cook and no one ever left her home hungry. A lot of the food she served was grown in her beautiful gardens. Nellie was a beautiful seamstress and always willing to help with an alteration or sew a prom dress. She even made several wedding dresses. She was selfless, kind, and exceedingly patient. She always had time for a walk or was game to climb the red rock hill above the farmhouse with one or all of the kids. Nellie is survived by her four children, Loye Ranae (Gary) McDonald of Draper, Utah, Robert Lamar (Gloria) Harris of Driggs, Idaho, Dalen J. (Susan) Harris of Highland, Utah, and LuAnn (D. Byron) Kelley of Preston, Idaho. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eugenia (Grant) Pickup of Roosevelt, Utah; brothers, Wallace Dee (Cloe) Brough of Randlett, Utah, and Gilbert (Norma) Brough. She was preceded in death by brothers, Myron, Grant, George, Robert, Donald, John Garr; and sisters, Donna Pickup and Bonnie Brough. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 10, 2008, in the Preston 3rd/7th/10th Ward chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., Preston, with President Douglas Roper of the Legacy 1st Branch conducting. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.webbmortuary.com. A special thanks to the staff at the Franklin County Medical Center for the kind and loving care extended to Mom over the past eight-plus years.
