Hansen returned home to her Heavenly Father and the loving arms of her parents, W. Deloss and Vera J. Hansen. Janet was at home surrounded by her children and family that loved and cherished her. She was born Jan. 24, 1946, in Preston, Idaho. She and Janeal were the twin girls that joined older brothers Ross and David in the Hansen home. Kathy joined this family unit later. She attended elementary school at the Central and Jefferson schools in Preston and graduated from Preston High School. Janet met her future husband, Robert Scott Talbot, while she was in high school and they were married July 3, 1964. They were later divorced. Janet was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings, and she particularly enjoyed her calling in the Relief Society and as Ward Chorister. Janet had lived in Erlangen, Germany; Denver, Colo.; Pocatello, Idaho; Bountiful, Utah; and back home in Preston. She worked at Pepperidge farm in Richmond, Utah, for 28 years turning out those ever popular Goldfish Crackers before retiring in June 2003. Upon retiring, she focused her interests on the music she loved and enjoyed, playing the viola with the Preston Chamber Orchestra. She truly loved the time and association she had with her fellow musicians in this wonderful group. She also enjoyed playing her piano at home and singing with the Rotary Choir each year at Christmas time. Janet found satisfaction in being able to fix up her cute little home. She had a great sense of style and an eye for appeal. Her yard was another way for her to express herself, and she spent many hours landscaping, planting, watering and, most of all, enjoying it. Janet is survived and adored by her children, Robert Russell (Donna) Talbot, of Richmond, Utah; Natalie (Doug) Dever, of Sheboygan Falls, Wisc.; Jason Scott (Suzanne) Talbot; of Logan, Utah; eight grandchildren, Kaiden, Shelby, Bryson, and Lauren Dever, Saesha A. Loya, T.J., Tyler, and Gage Talbot; one great-grandchild, Gonzolo Loya III; seven step-grandchildren, James Jr., Jerry, John, Isabel, Stephanie, Sara and Ruth; and brothers and sisters, Ross and David Hansen, Janeal Call and Kathy Griffin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the Preston 7th Ward Chapel, 155 N. 200 West in Preston, with Bishop Phil Abrams conducting. Friends may call on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
