Nelson "Itchy" returned to his Father in Heaven October 14, 2008.Rod was born November 6, 1943 in Preston, Idaho. Rod loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a wonderful mate, son, brother, father and friend to all. Preceded in death by father Pat Anderson. Survived by his sweetheart Claudia Clegg "CC", children: Trina Buckner, Julie Nicol, Jason (Amy) Nelson, Max (Jen) Nelson, mother Bertha Anderson, three brothers, four sisters, 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and countless friends. Funeral services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.) on Sunday, October 19, 2008. There will be a family and friends gathering from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service will follow beginning at 3 p.m. Rod had many friends and was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
