He was born March 16, 1914, in Fairview, Idaho, the third of 11 children born to George Clarence and Florence Orchard Bodily. He spent his growing-up years in the Fairview/Preston area. He married Althea Elmina Rasmussen on Dec. 18, 1935, in the Logan LDS Temple. They resided in Fairview until 1945, when they came to Burley. They later moved to Hunt, Idaho, then to Bend, Ore., and eventually returned to Burley in 1964. He was a farmer and avid horseman his entire life. He loved a good Quarterhorse. He also was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On Jan. 12, 1986, his wife, Althea, passed away. She was the love of his life, and he has missed her every day since her passing. He is now reunited with her after nearly 23 years apart. Surviving are his children, Arlyn R. Bodily (Norma) of Hazelton, Clair S. Bodily (Darlene) of Santaquin, Utah, Barbara B. Brown of Clinton, Utah, Faun B. Day (John) of American Fork, Utah, and Ted O. Bodily (Cindy) of Burley. He is also survived by one brother, Orson Bodily; one sister, Waldene McDermott; 18 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Althea; his son-in-law, Myrlan A. Brown; and his other siblings. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Star Ward LDS Chapel. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hansen Payne Mortuary Chapel and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. .
