He was born Oct. 6, 1915, in Preston, Idaho, the son of Ephraim and Elizabeth Ingle Cole Bosworth. He married Ruth Bair on Jan. 28, 1942. They were later divorced. He married Carlene Frew on Sept. 4, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and were later divorced. On June 5, 1964, he married Jessie Simons in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 1994. He operated an 80-acre farm where he had a dairy and raised peas, corn, sugar beets, barley and oats. He also sold apples, peaches and grapes to neighbors and stores every year. He had a "green thumb" and was an excellent gardener. This season, there were no worm holes in any of his fruits. He was so proud of his garden and loved to share. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. With a wink in his eye and his contagious smile, Oran's last wish was for all his family members to know that he loved them with all of his heart. He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Connie (Harold) Weyerman, of Preston, Robert (Amy) Bosworth, of Weston, Idaho, Carl Bosworth, of Globe, Ariz., Shirlene Bair of California; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Sharon Adams, of Burley, Idaho, and Kathy (Kay) Ralphs, of Heyburn, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; by a step-son, Deverl Smith; a daughter-in-law, Mitzi Bosworth; five brothers, Wendell, Harold, Kurt, Elmer and Reid Bosworth; and by two sisters, Donnette Hutchinson and Phyllis Gygi. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at noon in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 E. 1st S., Preston, with Bishop Elmo Krogue conducting. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
