He was born January 25, 1925, in Treasureton, Idaho, to Dell G. and Myrtle Perry Hymas. He married Venna Maxine Condie on February 14, 1945, in the Logan LDS Temple. Mack was a farmer and spent a majority of his time on his farm in Treasureton. He enjoyed golfing snowmobiling, and played baseball. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings such as Young Men's leader, dance director and counselor for the Treasureton Ward bishopric. He loved spending quality time with his grandchildren as well as watching all of the activities they participated in. He is survived by his wife, Maxine of Preston, Idaho; his children, Judy (Wade) LaMont, of Preston, Earl (Carol Deene) Hymas, of Treasureton, Idaho, Jan (Bart) Wilcox, of Preston, Jeanie (Fenton) Butterfield, Elko, Nev.; and a sister, Shirley (Nolan) Sharp, of Fresno, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bruce Don Hymas, a brother, Dell Hymas, and two sisters, Claire Woodward and Phyllis Wright. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Preston Seventh Ward Chapel, 155 North 200 West, in Preston, with Bishop Phil Abrams conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida in Preston, and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
