Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1985 Black Cat Road, Meridian. The viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise and from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the Black Cat Chapel. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery. Connie was born on Nov. 28, 1928, in Preston, Idaho to Shirley Rex Mitchell and Vinnie Reba Stocks. On Jan. 1, 1950, she married Nathan Dennis West in Weiser, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple. The majority of their lives together were spent in the Treasure Valley. Connie's soft heart for her children lead her to open Konnie's Kindergarten where she taught for many years in her home. She was also active in her many church callings. Connie is survived by her husband, Dr. Nathan D. ! West; her children Claude West of Middleton; Valerie (Greg) Monette of Verdi, Nev.; Rob(Jennifer) West of Boise; Jonathan (Marissa) West of Boise; Rebecca "Becky" (Dave) Niblett of Meridian; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Eula (Wayman) Sinden of Walla Walla, Wash., Valene (Dale) Dalley of Rupert, Idaho; Junia Kay Ker of Aurora, Colo. and her brother, Voyne (Elizabeth) Mitchell of Billings, Mont. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Reba Mitchell; a daughter, Natalie West Briner; two infant children and three brothers; Rex, Jay and Dennis Mitchell.
