He was born September 14, 1941 in Preston, Idaho, a son of Delloyd Chadwick and Wanda Marler Harris Jensen. Al married Helen B. Brown on June 27, 1970 in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. He married Janene Butters on January 30, 1998 in Ogden. He was raised and educated in Ogden graduating from Ogden High School. Al worked for Gateway Distributing for 37 years retiring in 2000. He then began working for Rocky Mountain Chrysler as a parts driver. He retired again in 2007. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles at the Roy Lodge. He completed all Chairs to become President and was a member for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing and was a member of the Staggs Car Club. Al was a very special person who always had a smile and a hug for everyone he came in contact with. Surviving are his wife, Janene, of Washington Terrace; six sons, Chad Jensen, Phoenix, AZ; Scott Jensen, Las Vegas, NV; Scott Harding, South Ogden; David Jensen, Richfield; Mike Jensen, Cedar City; Tracy Jensen, West Point; two daughters, Julie Snowball, Las Vegas, NV; Shelley Modahl, Plain City; and one stepdaughter, Heidi Szerzan. Preceding Al in death were his parents, one brother, Duane Jensen, and two sisters, Maureen Gilmore and LuDene Harrington. The family expresses thanks to Community Nursing Services with special thanks to Kim, Gina and Amber. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the ALS Association.
