He was born June 11, 1923, in Linrose, Idaho. His parents were Reuben Davis and Olga Mary Jensen Taylor. Dale graduated from Preston High School and married his high school sweetheart, Blanche Beckstead. They moved 10 times in their first 11 years of marriage. They settled into a new home on Canyon Road in the original Logan 8th Ward. Dale operated the Sinclair Service Station at 96 E. Center in Logan for many years until he started Dale's Used Cars on North Main Street. During his 40 years of selling cars in Logan, he developed many friendships and took great pleasure in helping others. One of Dale's favorite times of the day was meeting all of his buddies at Angie's or McDonald's to solve the issues of the day. Thank you for the good times. Dale and Blanche are the parents of five children, Karen (Bill) Zollinger, St. George, Steven (Bonnie) Taylor, North Salt Lake, Phil Taylor, Bountiful, Ellis (Diana) Taylor, Logan. Maurice, an infant son, preceded him in death. Dale and Blanche later divorced Dale married Evelyn Smith and enjoyed being with Evelyn's family, especially her children and grandchildren. They were very loving and kind to him. They spent many holidays and special occasions together as a family and will always remember the Sunday dinners. Dale and Evelyn later divorced. Dale is survived by his children and his brother and sisters, Homer and Gwen Taylor, Rexburg, Idaho, Reed Taylor, Valleyo, Calif., Jean Young, Bellvue, Wash., Barbara Kaplan, Walnut Creek, Calif. His sisters Carma McMullin, Roma Branigan; and his brother LaVell Taylor preceded him in death. Dale is also survived 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Logan House for their kindness and endless hours of service on behalf of our Dad. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 11, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services on Friday. Interment will be in the Preston City Cemetery.
