Author: AMHhenley Surnames: Murri, Johnson, Miner Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.idaho.counties.franklin/2308/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Deseret Morning News, 04/19/08 William James Murri passed away Thurs., April 17, 2008 after suffering multiple medical complications.He was born October 27, 1933 in Preston, ID to William Fred and Anna Harriet Johnson Murri and spent his youth in Pocatello, ID. Bill served an LDS mission to Denmark. He attended Idaho State University, University of Utah and received a PhD in Physics and Math from Brigham Young University. After being proposed to, Bill married Manette Miner in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1958. They raised six children in Sunnyvale, CA and Sandy, UT. He worked as a research scientist at SRI in Menlo Park, CA and at Hercules in Magna, UT. Bill spent his life serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including a mission with his wife to the Ukraine and as ordinance workers in the Jordan River Temple. He will always be remembered for his compassion and love for others through his tireless service. Throughout his life, he loved to participate in and coach all sports. He was espec! ially passionate about BYU sports. Bill is survived by his wife, Manette; children, Linda (Barry) Hustedt, Lesa (Brent) Bowen, Bill (Holly), Karen (Dave) Allison, Suzette (Tom) Gatherum and Daniel (Alison); 32 grandchildren; one great-grand-son; three brothers, Gordon, Richard and Blair; one sister, DeAnne Meredith. Funeral Services will be held Mon., April 21st at 12:30 p.m. at the Sandy East Stake Center, 9636 So. 1700 E., Sandy. Viewings will be held Sun., April 20th from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy and from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Monday prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Perpetual Education Fund would be appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
