Author: AMHhenley Surnames: Talbot, Spencer Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.idaho.counties.franklin/2274/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Logan Herald Journal, 03/10/08 PRESTON, Idaho - Our loving Mother, Ann Spencer Talbot, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2008, surrounded by her family at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. Mom is now with her sweetheart Ivan, who she desperately missed since he passed away in July 2005. Ann was born February 27, 1941, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of DeLone and John Milton Spencer. She later moved to Cove, Utah. She married Ivan Hyrum Talbot on Nov. 15, 1957, in the Logan LDS Temple. She lived in the Winder ward for 50 years before moving to West Haven, Utah just one year ago. Mom loved her new house and loved being closer to more family. She also missed Idaho, her friends, family and her house on the hill with the beautiful view. Mom will be deeply missed. She loved and cared for her family and was always helping everyone. She has many friends in Idaho and she made new friends when she moved to West Haven. She cherished her friendships and appreciated all the kindness and consideration shown to her. Mom loved to sew and quilt and she was a great cook. Even though she has been will she continue to make quilts for her grandkids and cook for her family. When Mom was younger she was very active, she loved to swim and ice skate. Mom was an avid sports fan. She loved to follow the local teams. You always knew that there would be a game on the TV or radio at her house. Mom especially loved supporting her kids that played sports for Preston High. Her and Dad followed them throughout the state attending games. Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings including Relief Society President and Primary and Young Women's leader. Her strong testimony was a great example to her family. Mom loved to helped people and was willing to serve. She was always making a meal and bringing in food for someone when it was needed. Mom leaves behind two daughters and five sons, Spencer (Tami) Talbot of Ogden, Boyd (Bobette) Talbot of Ogden, JoAnn (Allen) Briggs of Layton, Darryl (Lena) Talbot of Clifton, Idaho, Lola Jean (Steven) Lamb of West Haven, Jason (Anita) Talbot of N. Ogden, Casey (Jamie) Talbot of Logan; 34 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Suzanne) of Lewiston, Rod (Gail) of Wisconsin, Dick of Cove. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the Winder Ward, Hwy. 91, 5 miles north of Preston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday before the service. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
