He was born April 3, 1942, in Denver, Colo., the son of John Anthony and Chloellen Groninger Trenkle. Larry was a student of life and he loved learning. A philosopher and spiritual leader, he walked the Red Road. He was at peace with himself and all who surrounded him. He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He brought craftsmanship and quality to everything he did. His hobbies included writing, reading, hiking and camping. He was so incredibly loved by family and friends because of the love and respect he shared with them. He is survived by his wife, Sherry K. Hitchcock Trenkle of Thatcher; three daughters and three sons, Andrea (Jeff) Kerbel of Thatcher, Teresa Gillies of Colorado, Jody (Bob) Goemmer of Colorado, Robert (Barb) Timmons of Idaho, Dean (Formosa Chen) Timmons of California, and David (Sharon) Trenkle of Colorado; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Trenkle, and by a son-in-law, Steve Gillies. The family will hold private memorial services at a later date.
