Surnames: Crockett, Jensen, Shore, Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Eg.2ADE/332 Message Board Post: Idaho State Journal, 11/11/01 POCATELLO — Henry Marlow Crockett, 95, a longtime resident of Pocatello, passed away Friday evening, November 9, 2001, at his brother’s home from causes incident to age. He was born November 10, 1905, in Weston, Idaho, a son of Alvin David and Emma Christina Jensen Crockett. When Henry was an infant, his family moved to Sparks, Nevada, for about four years. His family then moved to King HIll, Idaho, to homestead, and he attended school there. When he was 17 years old, he hired out with the Union Pacific Railroad as an apprentice boilermaker at Nampa. He moved to Pocatello in 1936. On July 16, 1939, he married Ruth Anna Shore in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. She passed away November 23, 1980. With the advent of diesel locomotives, Harry transferred to the store department. He retired in 1970 after 47 years of service with the U.P.R.R . He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, gardening and helping on his sister’s farm He also enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include: A son, Henry (Hank) Crockett, Pocatello; a daughter, Ann Feucht, Pocatello; two brothers, Alden W. Crockett (Florence), Pocatello, and Fred B. (Jan) Crockett, Mountain Home, Idaho; a sister, Oleah True, Mountain Home, Idaho; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Crockett; five brothers, Owen, Dave, Duard, Amos and Marvin; two sisters, Lillian and Audrey. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Pocatello LDS West Stake Center, Eldredge and Hawthorne, with President Dennis Cook of the Bannock Creek Branch officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., and Tuesday from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
