Surnames: Manning, Rimington, Hull Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Eg.2ADE/338 Message Board Post: The Daily Herald on Friday, October 26 Dale Eugene Manning, age 71, of Provo, passed away October 22, 2001 following a brief struggle with cancer.He was born in San Gabriel, California on April 12, 1930 to Eugene Landrum Manning and Elizabeth Rimington Manning. He was raised in Farmington, Utah and later moved with his family to southern California. He married Nancy Hull in the Logan Temple on April 18, 1962. They raised their family in Whittier, California and later moved to Vista, California. In 1990 they moved to Provo to be closer to their grandchildren and to open the Whitney House Bed and Breakfast. Dale was very active in Real Estate and in sales in California. He loved to work with the youth and served in many LDS Church callings including Bishop for the Young Adult ward in Vista. He devoted time to helping the members of the Church in Mexico. He loved to cook and spend time with his children and grandchildren. Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hull Manning, and his parents. He is survived by his children: Curt (Sharon), Santa Fe, NM and Mark, Riverside, CA, both from a previous marriage; Lori Liljenquist (Rick), Orem, UT; Brian (Natalie), Las Vegas, NV; and Mike (Jan), American Fork, UT; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters: Anita Wilmott (George), Bixby, OK and LaRue Lockhart (John), Hurricane, UT; and a brother, Ken (Beverly), Hurricane, UT. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2001 in the LDS Edgemont 21st Ward Chapel at 2900 N 650 E (Timpview Dr.) in Provo. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State St. in Orem, and also one hour prior to the services at the chapel on Saturday. A brief graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Whitney, Idaho on Saturday.
