Peterson, 91, a longtime resident of Inkom, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2001, at a care center in Pocatello following an illness. She was born February 9, 1910, in Whitney, Idaho, a daughter of James and Mary Jane Olson Larsen. As a young girl she attended schools in McCammon, and graduated from McCammon High School. On October 19, 1929, she married Willard Peterson in Paris, Idaho. They made their home in Inkom for many years. He passed away April 24, 1990. She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, knitting and crocheting, and was an avid reader. Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Irving) Hackett, Verdi, Nevada; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, five sisters and a son. Graveside funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at 3 p.m. at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the charity of their choice.
