The Logan Herald Journal 07-01-2001 Virginia Evans Peart, 84, passed away Monday, June 25, 2001, at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Preston, Idaho, the daughter of James E. and Minnie A. Warrick Evans. She married John L. Peart. He preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Edward L. (Laurel Bates) Peart, Arden, N.C., Susan A. (George) Stott, Buffalo, Texas, John C. (Lang) Peart, Las Vegas, Joseph B. (Kristine Cardon) Peart, Las Vegas, Gerald E. (Rose M. Hill) Peart, Asheville, N.C., Lori J. (Clifford) Diamond, Austin, Texas; 37 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Valetta Petterborg, St. George, Utah, Ruth Goff, St. George, Utah, Ruby Haworth, Washington; and by a brother, Fred Evans, Phoenix, Ariz. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Preston, Idaho Cemetery. Services will be held Tuesday in Las Vegas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home of Preston, Idaho.
