The Logan Herald Journal 07-21-2001 Minnie Viola Cutler Larson, 96, of Preston, Franklin, Idaho, died July 18, 201, in Pocatello, Idaho. Minnie Larson was born in Preston, Idaho, on Nov. 12, 1904, to Allen Riley and Lucy May Hardy Cutler. She attended schools in Preston, graduating from the Oneida Academy. She later attended nurse's training at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Her nursing career spanned over 40 years as she worked with her brothers, Drs. Allen R. and Orvid Cutler at the Preston Hospital, now the Franklin County Medical Center. She assisted in the birth of many Franklin County children while assisting her brothers on house calls. She also served as school nurse later in her career with the West Side School District before retiring in 1969. She will be remembered by staff and alumni alike. Minnie married Harold Larson in 1926 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death in 1992. Both Harold and Minnie Larson were life-long members of the LDS Church. Minnie held many church callings. including service with Harold while he was bishop. Minnie was noted for her beautiful handwork, which included cross stitch, quilting, needlepoint and latch hooking. She was a wonderful cook, an avid reader and was well loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, a local literary club and traveled with Harold as he played in a harmonica band. She has lived with her daughter in Pocatello for the past two years. She is survived by her son, Harold E. (Gene) Larson of Upland, Calif., daughter-in-law, Dr. Patricia Lin Larson, and daughter Lucy Carroll, and son-inn-law, Dr. Richard Meek of Pocatello, Idaho. Also surviving are sister Ruth Hart, nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Allen, Karl, Charles, Elvin, Orvid, Morton, Milton, Leo, Preston and Royal. Also by her sisters, Lucy, Euretta, Ercil and Mary. Funeral services will be held at noon, Monday at 10th Ward Chapel: 155 N. 200 West St., in Preston. Bishop Gilbert Parker will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Webb Funeral Home at 109 E. Oneida St., Preston, Idaho, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Preston Idaho Cemetery..
