She was born May 7, 1919, in Preston, Idaho, the daughter of Leo James and Chloe Clayton Peterson. She is the third of five daughters born to the couple. She grew up in Preston attending area schools and graduated from Preston High School. She married Ariel Alma Biggs on April 2, 1940, in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on Dec. 14, 1961. Ariel preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2001. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding various callings throughout her life. She loved working in the yard and having beautiful flowers. She especially enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing or just going on rides with her husband. Along with her family, she enjoyed visiting with her sisters. She was a terrific cook and made numerous meals and holiday feasts which were so enjoyable. She is survived by five sons and one daughter, James Biggs, Colorado City, Colo., Stephen (Sandy) Biggs, Layton, Don "D.P." (Helen) Biggs, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Craig Biggs, Preston, Beverly Biggs,Collinston, Utah, Alan (Cindy) Biggs, Preston; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Wanda Skousen, Beth Keller, and Jean Seamons. She was preceded in death by her husband, by a grandson, Jerry Biggs, and by a sister, Leola Larsen. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care given to our mother by the Franklin County Medical Center, Rehabilitation Center, Heritage Home, and to Dr. Lynn Eskelson and staff. We would like to send our love to Uncle Parm and Aunt Beth for the many hours of love and care they gave our mom. And a special thanks and love to her favorite "soda pop drinking buddy," Marge Auger. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at 1 p.m. in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, with Bishop Cleve Esplin conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
