Court was born May 18, 1979, in Richfield, Utah, the son of Ronald W. Hicks and Debara Wright Hicks. During his life, he lived in Richfield, Utah, Mesa, Ariz., Las Vegas, Nev., Cedar City, Utah, Anaheim Hills, Calif., Wytheville, Va., Thatcher, Idaho and Logan, Utah. He developed many friendships everywhere he went. He was loved and respected by all. He loved Aikido and had earned his blue belt with a black stripe. He was interested in learning new things. He liked to work on cars. He was a talented artist, and he enjoyed participating in sports including billiards, tennis, weight training, cycling, and basketball. In May of 2001, he received his associate's degree from Utah State University in engineering. He was planning to continue his education at USU. He was currently employed at Wal-Mart in Logan, Utah. Court entered this world prematurely and left the same way, but he left an indelible mark on all those he met. He is survived by his father, Ronald (Terry) Hicks, Wytheville, Virginia; his mother, Debara Hicks (Virgil Littleton), Logan, Utah; one sister, Kerry Ann (Rodney) Elwood, Providence, Utah, two brothers, Trance (Marinda) Hicks, Preston, Idaho, Nicholas Hicks, Logan, Utah; one stepsister, Misty Nowers, Wytheville, Va.; three step brothers, Ryan (Jackie) Nowers, Richfield, Utah, Carson Nowers, Richfield, Utah, Justin (Zona) Nowers, Wytheville, Va; by his grandmother, IdaBelle Wright, Thatcher, Idaho; and by five nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Horace Wright, and John and Reva Hicks. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday in the Thatcher, Idaho LDS Church with Bishop Tod Jensen conducting. Family and friends may pay their respects from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, Idaho, and from 10:30 to11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Thatcher Idaho Cemetery.
