She was born May 28, 1907 in Cleveland, Idaho, a daughter of Ira Leishman and Isabella Agnes Austin Ames. She married Arnold Ames Ransom November 13, 1923 in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, June 10, 1931. Arnold passed away March 29, 1975. Ada loved her family and everyone she came in contact with. She cooked, cleaned and helped anyone in need. Ada was a friend to all. She loved to crochet, camp and fish and being with her family. Ada was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She served in numerous callings. Surviving are three sons, Daniel (Twila), Clearfield; Blake (Clarice), Layton; Gary (Cheryl), Orem, Utah; two daughters, Jean Harris, Clearfield and Merna (David) Thatcher, Clearfield; 24 grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at Lindquist"s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road with Bishop Rex Brimhall officiating. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Cleveland, Idaho Cemetery.
