Gerald was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Franklin, Idaho, the first of six children born to Lloyd Humphry and Georgia Robinson Baird. He was raised in Richmond, Utah, and attended North Park School, Lewiston Jr. High, and graduated from North Cache High School. Growing up he worked with his Dad on the family farm and in the family coal business. It was here that he was taught the value of work. Gerald attended two quarters at Utah State Agricultural College (now USU) prior to serving an LDS mission in the California Bakersfield Mission. On Nov. 20, 1950, Gerald married Audrey Fackrell in the Logan LDS Temple, and they began their married life together in Preston, Idaho. Gerald worked for Peterson Tractor Service in Preston, Idaho, and in 1957 was transferred to their Tremonton, Utah, store as manager. He later worked for Taylor Farm Service and Green Line Equipment. He participated in community and civic affairs and served as President of the Tremonton Chamber of Commerce. Gerald was active in the LDS church, serving as Bishop's counselor, High Priest Group Leader, Elder's Quorum President, Sunday School President and Superintendent, home teacher, and Executive Secretary for two Stake Presidents. He enjoyed reading, walking, attending USU basketball games, the Dinner Club, and most of all, his family get-togethers. Gerald is survived by his children, Michael (Annette) Bair of West Point, Utah, Kevin (Debborah) Bair of North Ogden, Utah, and David Bair of Taylorsville, Utah; twelve grandchildren and their spouses; and twenty-two great-grandchildren with one more on the way. He is also survived by his brothers, Quinn (Darlene), Kenneth (Sandra); sisters, Ruth, Jane (Eric). He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey Fackrell Bair; his parents, Lloyd Humphry and Georgia Robinson Bair; and his brother, William Bair. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at the Tremonton Utah Stake Center, 660 N. 300 East, Tremonton, Utah with Bishop Jeff Reese officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 East, Tremonton, and from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at the Tremonton Utah Stake Center. Interment will be at the Richmond City Cemetery in Richmond, Utah. The family suggests that donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints' Humanitarian Fund.
