He was born March 14, 1925 in Weston, Idaho. He married Barbara Louise Rice in 1944 and their marriage was later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, Clyde and Janet Simpson. He has three brothers and one sister: Orval (Jean) Simpson, Idaho Falls, ID; Stratford (Carol) Simpson, Logan, UT; Thad (Marjean) Simpson, No. Ogden, T; Carolyn (Joel) LaPray, Idaho Falls, ID. He is a veteran of World War II, and received a Manufacturing Engineer Degree from the State of California. He worked for United Air Lines in San Francisco for 40 Years. He retired in 1987 following the death of his wife after which he moved to Orem. He married Janice Cragun in 1989 and they were divorced in 2002. Jan was a wonderful mom, grandma, and great grandma to all Dad's family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a car enthusiast and loved working on and rebuilding cars of any kind. He loved his family and was proud of all of them. He has 4 children: Careen (Jay) Johnston, Gilbert, AZ; Dennae (Don) Adams, Orem; Dairen Simpson, Durham, NC; Branden Simpson, Riverside, CA; 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. We wish to thank the Orem Nursing and Rehab Center and Hospice Specialists for the kind, loving care they extended to our father in the last days of his life. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be sent to Orem Nursing and Rehab, 575 E. 1400 S., Orem, UT 84097 in our father's name. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cascade 5th Ward Chapel, 1051 East 200 North in Orem. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem and also Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the ward chapel.
