She was born Nov. 11, 1912, in Weston, Idaho, the daughter of Thomas and Maria McDonald Nessen. She married Nolan Doney Lowe Nov. 28, 1928, in Logan, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Birch Bowcut Comish Sept. 27, 1947, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He died Oct. 3, 1978. May enjoyed traveling, quilting, hunting, fishing and camping. She held positions in the auxiliaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including visiting teacher. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She worked at Delmonte Cannery for 15 years. May is survived by a daughter, Shari Mae Logan, Bountiful, Utah; one sister, Thelma Chatterton, Preston; six grandchildren, Michael Butterfield, Scott Butterfield, Fenton Butterfield, Toni Harper, Kenidy, Logan and Loni Lund; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Lou Butterfield; one brother, Thomas Nessen; and three sisters, Lola Corbridge, Ada Hodges and Elaine Jensen. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday in the Preston South Stake Center with Bishop Robert Miller conducting. Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Stake Center, 55 E. 100 South. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
