He was born Jan. 12, 1910, in Franklin, Idaho, the son of William Henry and Fannie Eliza Williams Paskins. He married Celia Packer Johnson on March 21, 1938, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed in the Logan Temple. He enjoyed welding, tinkering in his shop, hunting, fishing, and rock collecting. He loved visiting with his neighbors. He owned and operated a farm in Treasureton. He was a firefighter in CCC Camp and he worked for the ASC. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as Mutual president, Sunday School superintendent, and as a counselor in the High Priest quorum. He is survived by his wife, Celia, of Ogden; two sons and two daughters, Bart (Carolyn) Paskins, Sandy, Utah, Kent (Joy) Paskins, Ogden, Utah, Bonnie (Jay) Christensen, Salt Lake City, Utah, Glenna (Bruce) Jensen, West Valley City, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Irva Heath, Afton Brenning and Connie Adams, all of Salt Lake City, Utah, and by a brother-in-law, Voris Johnson, Preston, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; by four brothers, Fred, Charles, George, and Eugene; and by three sisters, Rhoda, Mary, and Vie. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, with Bishop Sam Smith conducting. Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston, Idaho, Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home, Preston, Idaho.
