    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Manning, Wheeler, Baker Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Eg.2ADE/502 Message Board Post: Idaho State Journal, 06/21/02 PRESTON — Glen Willard Manning, 89, passed away at his home on June 19, 2002. Glen was a lifetime resident of Preston, Idaho. He was born on March 18, 1913, in Preston, Idaho, to Willard A. and Sarah Annie Wheeler Manning. He was the oldest of seven children. On Oct. 20, 1937, he married Norma Baker in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, temple. The bond of love Glen had for Norma continued when his health failed. They were self-sufficient until two years ago. He was determined to live independent and cared for Norma until recently. He was a licensed contractor at W.A. Manning and Son Plumbing and Heating in Preston, Idaho. He was also a union member and worked for many plumbing and heating contractors. He was employed at Utah State University in plumbing maintenance and repair before retiring in 1978. He enjoyed the outdoors. In his younger years he loved to hunt and fish in the Idaho mountains. Many hunting trips were with his close family members. Our fondest memories of Glen are when we could get him to talk about those adventures and the experiences they had together. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma, of Preston; a son, Dennis (Lorie) Manning, Logan, Utah; a daughter, Kathy (Ron) French, Logan, Utah; by grandchildren, Rich (Laura) French, Salt Lake City, Utah, Jeff (Annie) French, Natalie (Scott) Ward, Heather (T.J.) Hart, and step-grandson, Eric (Shalise) Summers, all of Logan, Utah; three great-grandchildren, Zachary French, Whitley and Teagan Ward. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 24, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Sunday, June 23 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., also at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
