He was born September 20, 1923, in Providence, Rhode Island. He married Mildred Mary Ratlery and they were blessed with four children. She passed away May 29, 1995. He then married Louise Marie Braunlich. He worked for General Electric and then for Hughes Aircraft. He was a member of the Preston Elks Lodge and the Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Louise Marie Metro, Preston, ID; children, Mike E. Metro, Belton, TX, Patricia A.. Metro, Los Angeles, CA, Eddie A. Metro, Ft. Collins, CO, and Brian L. Metro, Los Angeles, CA; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mildred Mary Ratlery Metro. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave., Pocatello.
