He was born Nov. 25, 1928, to George H. and Elizabeth Reimer Jones in Shields, Nebraska and grew up in and around Oneill, Neb. He had lived in the Cache Valley area since 1959, and worked for the City of Hyrum, Wurlitzer and then Thiokol until his retirement. He moved to Preston, Idaho 11 years ago. Casey was a very active member of Grace Fellowship Church in downtown Preston, and previously held numerous ministry positions at Maranatha Baptist Church in Logan. A veteran of the U.S. military, Casey served with distinction overseas in the United States Marine Corps. in the late 1940s. He was an avid hunter and loved shooting and reloading. He was dedicated to staying in shape and worked out faithfully at Groll Family Fitness Center in Preston. The love of his life was horses and the great outdoors. The greatest passion of his life was serving his Lord and teaching the Bible, especially to young people. Casey is survived by a sister, Bernice (Robert) Jenkins of Sun City, Ariz.; and by seven nieces and nephews, Robert Jenkins; Bill Jenkins; Linda Scherer; Gloria Rose; Diane Longobardo; Debbie Freeland; and Dr. Harold Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, by a brother, Harold B. Jones; and by two sisters, Beatrice Jones and Bessie Mae Bigelow. A "Casey Celebration" will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, 16 N. State St., Preston, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery and a light lunch at the church will follow the graveside ceremony. Arrangements are by Webb Funeral Home.
