She was born March 2, 1907, in Manti, Utah, the daughter of John Hyrum and Bertha Stutznegger Petersen. She married Orley Bateman White on April 28, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away on Jan. 19, 1937. She married Richard McCulloch Lemmon on April 21, 1941, in Preston, Idaho. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1984. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life, serving in many positions. She is survived by four sons and five daughters, Ray (JoRene) White, Dillon, Montana, Jean (Tom) Nelson, Ft. Worth, Texas, Hank (Alice) Lemmon, Bountiful, Utah, Joann Spencer, Brigham City, Utah, Joyce Lemmon, Nampa, Idaho, Margaret (Ralph) Cook, St. George, Utah, Bob (Vicki) White, Weston, Marilyn (Robert) White, Malad, Idaho, David (Paula) Lemmon, Weston; 49 grandchildren, 250 great- and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rex Petersen, Manti, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, four brothers, one sister, a daughter, Barbara Birenbaum, and by a son, Thomas Lemmon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at noon in the Weston LDS Chapel. Friends may call Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
