Katie was released after 10 years of suffering with Alzheimer's March 17, 2002. Born Nov 29, 1917, Rexburg, ID to Joseph and Annie Ringel Cooper. Married Lester Mack Dunkley July 12, 1939, in the Logan LDS Temple. Katie was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many church callings. She also was a member of the Idaho Falls Writers League and Cultural Arts Club. Survived by four children, Robert Lynn Dunkley, Idaho Falls, Maxine Kay Brimhall, Sandy, Susan Carol Schwartz, St. George, Sally Ann Boman, Salt Lake; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Lester Mack Dunkley; and son, Steven Brent Dunkley. Services will be Wed. March 20, 2002, 10:30 a.m., Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S) where friends may call 9:30-10:15 a.m. Interment, Whitney Cemetery, Whitney, ID.
