Born Nov 27, 1916 in Preston, ID to Walter K. and Jeanette Maria Smith Barton. Married Sylvan Verl Call Feb 27, 1940 in Preston, ID. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple Aug 1, 1947. He preceded her in death July 8, 1987. Ruth was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, attending the Bountiful 43rd Ward (previously the Bountiful 5th Ward). She will be missed by all who knew her. She loved crocheting, doing family history, reading and playing Screwy Louie. Formerly of Dayton, Clifton, Preston, and Twin Falls, ID. We would like to give special thanks to the staff at Bountiful House for the care that they provided her in her last years. Survived by her children, Janet (Reed) Wright, Gary (Carolyn) Call, Michael (Joni) Call, Lori Ann (Michael) Reed; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and sisters, Louise Barton (Ira) Chase, Donna Barton (Leslie) Mockli, Vauna Barton (Fred) Hegerhorst, Jeannette Marie (Ronald) Drury, Helen Kay Bodily. Preceded in death by her husband; son, Walter J. Call; parents; sister, Flora Barton Hansen; and brothers, Walter Kenneth Barton, Cliff Smith Barton, Glen Smith Barton. Services will be Tues. March 26, 2002, 10:30 a.m., Bountiful 43rd Ward Chapel, 990 N. Chapel Dr (120 W), Bountiful, UT. Friends may visit Mon. 6-8 p.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Dayton City Cemetery; Dayton, ID.
