She was born May 21, 1917 in Preston, Idaho to John Card and Mary Jane Pendleton Greaves. She married Alden Edward Roberts, June 21, 1939 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death December 27, 1989. Clarice was involved in education all of her life, teaching school at Richfield and South Sevier High Schools, in Wayne County and Holbrook, AZ. She was the principal at the elementary school in Annabella. She assisted her husband with his teaching duties as well. She was active in community activities. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving faithfully in many callings including serving as ward Relief Society president in her early seventies. She was an avid supporter of her family, from the tender care given to her sweet husband during his years with cancer to cheering for her children and grandchildren at their many sporting and cultural events. She always enjoyed having the family together at holiday times and joined in the fun at family activities. Clarice is survived by her children: Howard (Barbara) Roberts of Taylorsville; Julie (Kay) Kimball of Richfield; Rick (Paula) Roberts of Monroe; Steven (Ruth) Roberts of Ivins; Kathy (Michael) Sorensen, Sharon (Danny) Anderson and Mark (Debra) Roberts all of Annabella; 37 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Doris) Greaves and sister, Delpha (Jack) Allen both of Ogden; sister-in-law, Dorothy Greaves of Salt Lake City. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandchildren, Mark Howard Roberts, Donna Clarice Roberts; great-grandchildren, Jarin Shane Hansen, Matty Savage; brothers and sisters, Phyllis, Vera, Vella, Althea, John Ray, Alvin and Allien. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., August 15, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Annabella 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, on Wed. evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Annabella on Thursday m! orning from 9:30 to 10:30.
