    2. Idaho Press-Tribune, 08/10/01 Joseph Henry Crossley, 90, of Nampa passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at his son’s residence. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the 13th Ward LDS Chapel, 504 11th Ave. N., Nampa. Interment will be in Preston, Idaho on Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa, ID 83651. Joseph was born April 14, 1911 in Thatcher, Idaho to William Henry and Pauline Wanner Crossley. Joe was one of eight children, Anne, Albert, Virgil, Richard and Chester and two sisters who died in infancy. Joe lived in Preston, Idaho and moved to Ogden, Utah when he was very young. In his adult life he lived in many places including California, Washington, and Idaho. He worked for Idaho Concrete and in the shipyards in Seattle and as a farmer. He has lived in this valley off and on since 1936. When he was younger, Joe enjoyed racing cars and working on them and on his Studebakers. The last few years he enjoyed watching old Westerns on TV and visiting with friends and family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters and two wives. He is survived by his five children, Gladys Stapleton of Pocatello, Delbert and wife Velma of Nampa, William and wife Rozelyn of Junction City, Ore., James and wife Kathy of Middleton and Cody of Cottonwood, Idaho. The family wishes to thank the nurses from Hospice for their loving care and support and also David from Med Now. Friends may call at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the LDS Chapel Saturday, from 9-9:45 a.m.
