She was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Riverdale, Franklin, Idaho, the daughter of William Melvin and Celesta Vilate Bright Packer. She married LaMonte Larsen Nov. 21, 1941, in the Logan Temple. Violet was a faithful member of the LDS Church serving in many callings through the years. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved gardening, cooking, writing and the Utah Jazz! She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her Husband LaMonte Larsen; sister Rosaleen P. Stucki. Survived by her children, Carol Bunn (John) Nampa, Idaho, M. Glade Larsen (Corrine) Rochester Hills, Mich., Lois Smith (Gary) Sandy, Utah, Todd L. Larsen (Mabel) Preston, Idaho. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sister Margaret Stevenson (Arthur), Weston, Idaho. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at the Mink Creek Ward Chapel with Bishop Jim Harrison conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida St., Preston, Idaho, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church. Interment will be in the Mink Creek Idaho Cemetery.
