She was born May 15, 1905, in Cleveland, Idaho, the daughter of Charles William Peter and Mary Larsen Nielsen. She married Fern J. Condie December 5, 1923, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died in 1959. Lettie was active in the LDS Church service in leadership and teaching assignments all of her life. She served in the Stake Relief Society and MIA Presidents, and worked in the genealogy library for 25 years and as a temple worker for 25 years. She was a member of the LoPine DUP. She always kept a nice yard and garden. She made beautiful quilts. Lettie is survived by three daughters and one son and spouses, Corene (Kenneth) Woodward, Sacramento, Calif.; Clarice (John) Porter, Providence, Utah; Bonnie (Boyd) Buttars, Logan, Utah; and Jay (Marian) Condie, Grace, Idaho. She has 23 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is the last of ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 4, 2001, at 1 p.m. in the Preston Tenth Ward Chapel, 155 N. 200 W., with Bishop Lee Parker conducting. Friends may call at the ward chapel Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Preston Idaho Cemetery.
