She was born November 17, 1919, in Mink Creek, Idaho to Mads Martinus and Anna Mathilda Birch Larsen. Maurine married Vern Klippert on August 9, 1946, in the Logan LDS Temple. Maurine always enjoyed cooking. Her homemade fudge was unequaled and her divinity rolls weren't far behind. She was very skilled in many types of handwork including sewing. Maurine was a beautician and stylist for many years. She was an active member of the LDS Church were she was a primary teacher for 25 years, secretary of the primary, counselor and secretary in the Relief Society. Maurine and Vern served a mission together and also served a stake mission. She is survived by her husband Vern, of Pocatello; her children Steven (Camille) Klippert of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Marlene (Rex) Petersen of Nibley, Utah, Vicky (Merrill) Turnbow of South Jordan, Utah, and Kayla Klippert of Pocatello; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Lois) Larsen of Emmett, Idaho and Jewell (Arlene) Larsen of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and one sister Bonnie (Jack) Zimmerman of Bakersfield, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers Galen and LaMonte. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in the Preston 1st Ward Chapel, 213 S. 200 East, in Preston with Bishop Brent Dodge conducting. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Mink Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home, in Preston.
