She was born October 30, 1913, in Willmington, Illinois, to Charles Joseph and Eva Alice Mitchell Dixon. At a very young age her family moved to Bingham, Utah, where she grew up. She married Lloyd Pugmire on March 17, 1937. He passed away on December 12, 1937, two weeks before the birth of her first son. She later married Ferron Parley Nilson on June 20, 1940, in the Salt Lake City Temple. He died on November 1, 1997. They were blessed with two sons and two daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After their marriage they resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, Morenci, Arizona, Tremonton, Utah, Vale, Oregon, Twin Bridges, Montana, and Preston, Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Primary many years, Young Women’s, and Relief Society as president and also secretary. She enjoyed being with Ferron on the farm and helped him when she could. She also enjoyed quilting and embroidering, which she shared with her family. She is survived by one son, Lloyd (Clarice) Nilson of Benjamin, Utah, and two daughters, Rella (Wendell) Hansen of Amalga, Utah, and Pam (Quinn) Corbridge of Preston, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Glenn Ferron Nilson; two sisters, two brothers and four grandchildren, Ferron Wendell Hansen, Quincy Lin Corbridge, Shawn Melvin Nilson and Lloyd Frederick Nilson Jr. Funeral services will be held on December 31, 2001, at noon in the Preston Sixth Ward Chapel, located at 55 East 100 South in Preston, Idaho, with Bishop Robert C. Rasmussen conducting. Friends and family may call at the Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, Preston, Idaho, Sunday, December 30, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Franklin County Nursing Home.
