Surnames: Jones, Willmore, MacDonald Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Eg.2ADE/368 Message Board Post: The Idaho Statesman, Wednesday, 12/19/2001 Gary Lee Jones, 65 of Boise, Idaho died Saturday, December 15, 2001 at St. Luke's hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving wife, Tira at his side. Gary was born July 5, 1936 in Fairview, Idaho, one of seven children born to Mark Alloid and Mary Louise Willmore Jones. After graduating from High School in Preston, Idaho, Gary served in the military from 1961 to 1967. He moved to Boise in 1976 and worked at Bob Rice Ford from 1976 until his retirement in 1994. Gary enjoyed working on and restoring classic cars, and received several awards and trophies during his incredible career. He was also blessed with marrying his best friend and lifelong companion, Tira MacDonald. Gary's life philosophy was that of a great caring spirit, he brought unconditional love and loyalty to all those who knew him. Gary loved his family and friends, of whom all have fond memories of a man who had a way of making all who knew him feel special. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Jacob Middleton and Skyler Jones. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Tira and children: sons, Robert M. (and Mindi) Jones, Dennis L. (and Tessa) Jones, and daughter, Renata (and Robert) Middleton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (and Marilyn) Jones, Alfred (and Clarene) Jones, Alvaro (and Beverly) Jones, and Troy (and Kathie) Jones and sisters, Mary Lue (and Delbert) Chandler and Ramona Barron. The family would like to thank Dr. Norman Zuckerman, Alice, Andrea and the entire staff of MISTI and the staff of St. Luke's hospital for their high standard of professional dedication and compassion that they had shown to Gary. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2001 at Cloverdale Funeral Home.
