He was born September 7, 1926, in Cleveland, Utah, to John J. and Anna May Amelia Ellison Timothy. He married Vida Jean Taysom on March 10, 1948, in Price, Utah. Lavor was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering and fixing things around the house. Lavor served in the Navy during World War II, and served on the Pacific Front. He loved his family and liked spending time with them. He was an auto mechanic and worked at a number of different car dealers in his life, including Martin and Hone, Cranney, Palmer's and West Motor. He is survived by three sons, Randy (Jerry) Timothy, Price, Utah, Terry (MaryBeth) Timothy, Preston, Danny Timothy, Preston; and a daughter, Julie (Russ) Knudsen, Preston; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Edwin (Joyce) Timothy, of Arizona, Lionel (Ruby) Timothy, Price, Utah, Doug Timothy, Murray, Utah, Sherryol (Susan) Timothy, Pueblo, Colo., Darrel (Mary) Timothy, Virginia; two sisters, Dora (Woody) Hunter, Ariz., and Vieva Sanderson, Price, Utah; and special friends, Mike and Vada Vroman, and Angie Timothy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vida, a daughter, Karen Renee Timothy, two brothers, Richard and John Timothy, and a sister, Lanayla Jensen. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2007, at noon in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 North State, with Bishop Blayne Rounds conducting. Friends may call Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
