Henderson, 82, of Rexburg, died Friday, December 7, 2007, at his home of cancer. He was born on May 22, 1925, in Clifton, Idaho, to James C. and Mary Augusta Larson Henderson. He graduated from McCammon High School and then served in the military during World War II. After returning from the service, he was a salesman for Zellerbach Paper Company. He married Shanna L. Ricks in August of 1979, and started to work at Ricks College in 1980. He was an avid golfer, bowler and loved to spend time fishing on the North Fork of the Snake River. He loved to do woodworking and made many gifts for family and friends. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Shanna served a service mission at the Rexburg Family History Center. He is survived by his wife, of Rexburg; children, Gordon (Cindy) Henderson, Janet (Frank) Robles of Tucson, Arizona, Marianne (Rod) Smith, Sheryl Fulton of Palm Springs, California, Claudia (David) Meiners of Phoenix, Arizona; stepchildren, Arden (Connie) Ricks, Lael (Larry) Miller, Teresa (Jeff) Brewer, Louise (Shane) Ricks, Julie McCowan; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Beverly and Joann, five brothers, three sisters and two grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, at the Rexburg Third Ward Chapel, 345 South Third West. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
