He was born on Aug. 30, 1930 in Linrose, ID the son of Seathel Charles and Hilda (Weeks) Lloyd. He married Bettie Lou Layne in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Aug. 18, 1947. He was an active member of the LDS church and enjoyed service as a Home Teacher, Young Men's Leader, Dance Instructor and Scout Leader. He loved spending time outdoors with family and friends camping, fishing and hunting. He retired from Eutectic Welding after 32 years of service as a distribution center manager. Surviving him is his loving wife Bettie Lou Lloyd, Kamas; sons: Ron (Jerry Lyn) Lloyd, Manti, UT; Gary (Sharene) Lloyd, North Salt Lake City, UT; Paul (Ruth Ann) Lloyd, Francis, UT, and daughters, Julie (Craig) Christensen, Sandy, UT; and Linda (Mark) Harwood, Eagle Mountain, UT. Also 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Naoma Pitcher and Goldie ! Skiby, and two grandsons, Patrick Lloyd and Joshua Christensen. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Kamas LDS Stake Center at 3038 N SR 32, Marion, Utah. Friends may call at the church on Thurs. evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Marion, Utah Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, Utah. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 12/5/2007.
