Betty was born in Preston, Idaho, to Nellie Tarbet. She was married to Thomas Tarbet in 1946. During their time together they lived in many places, finally settling in Milwaukie, Ore., where they lived for over 35 years. They were married for 41 years until his death in 1987. Betty loved to go fishing and camping with her family. Betty loved gardening, spending hours in the garden and canning about everything that came out of it. Betty is survived by children Tom, Kerry and Keith of Milwaukie, Ore., Mary Colburn of Surprise, Ariz.; sister, Norma Seamons of Benson, Utah; brother, Donald Ransom of Melbourne, Fla.; and four beautiful grandchildren, Melissa, Luke, Stephen and Megan.
