She was 87. She was born on November 6, 1919, in Cambridge, Idaho, to Frank and Anna Lowe Aldous. She was the fourth of eight children. Rilda married Woodrow Eriksen in Logan, Utah. They began their married life in Woodrow's hometown of Oxford, Idaho. They started a family and lived and worked in Downey, Pocatello, Twin Falls, and Jerome, Idaho, and Portland, Oregon. They eventually decided to settle in Winnemucca, Nevada. She and Woodrow bought Winnemucca Propane in 1949, and made it into a thriving business. They bought ranch property in Orovada in 1958, and settled full time at Rocky View Ranch in 1961. They also built the Rocky View Cafe and Motel in Orovada. She and Woodrow in their retirement raised commercial cattle and raised and raced American quarter horses for many years. Rilda enjoyed golf, working around the ranch yard, crocheting hats for her family, gardening and making homemade bread. As an avid reader she was one of the original members of the Literary Club in Winnemucca, and was also active in Cowbelles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Clinton Aldous, Vivian Carlsen, Verla Turner, Rebba Martin, and Pat Aldous, infant son, Michael, and sonin-law, John C. Miller. Rilda is survived by her husband of 68 years, Woodrow Eriksen of Orovada, Nev.; daughters, Peggy Miller and Linda Sullivan of Elko, Nev., and Gene Sullivan of Battle Mountain, Nev.; grandchildren, Woodra (Dean) Bullock of Battle Mountain, Kristin (Neil) McQueary of Elko, Meghan Lewis (Ron) Lewis of Reno, Jodi (Ammon) Baker of St. George, Utah, Swen (Dyan) Sullivan of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sadie (Rick) Garcicea of Battle Mountain; great-grandchildren, Leslie, Scott, Melanie and Stephanie Bullock, Lachlan and Lia McQueary, Cameron and Carson Lewis, Jill Jacaway, Gavin and Aidan Sullivan, Danny Sullivan and Jaione Garcicea; and great-greatgrandson, Brock Bullock. She is also survived by her brother, Ben (Carol) Aldous of Winnemucca; sister, Josephine (Jim) Pool of Pocatello, Idaho, Daryl and Phyllis Eriksen of Wells, Nevada, and Warren and LuDean Eriksen of Pocatello, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Orovada Community Hall on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Orovada Community Hall in Orovada, Nevada. Burial to follow at the Orovada Cemetery.
