Id Obits Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits?read=164 Surname: Baker, Lund ------------------------- The Logan Herald Journal 06-30-2000 PRESTON, Idaho - Ila Lucy Lund Baker, 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2000, at the Silverado Sr. Living Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born Nov. 24, 1919, in Preston, Idaho, the daughter of Charley Edward and Margaret Lucy Baker Lund. She married Donald Ray Baker on July 10, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on July 11, 1960. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in the YW/MIA, taught Primary and Sunday School classes, participated in the FREP Name Extraction Program, was a Relief Society visiting teacher, and loved to do compassionate service. She loved sewing and taught 4-H sewing for over 15 years. Children were welcome in her home and were raised as her own. She was a friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray, of Preston; four daughters, Janet (Lorin) Price, Midvale, Utah; Jeanie Petersen, Brigham City, Utah; Wendie (Richard) Blatnick, Salt Lake City, Utah; Connie (Melvin) Forster, Salt Lake City, Utah; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and by a brother, Leonard B. Lund, Preston, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, by two sisters, Therma Lund Howell and Pricilla Lund, and by five brothers, Fred, Cyril, Edwin, Ira, and infant brother Lund. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, July 3, 2000, in the Preston 5th Ward chapel, 213 S. 2nd East, with Bishop Layne Peterson conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, at Webb Funeral Home and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
