She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in St. Anthony, Idaho, the daughter of Albert Jardine and Rebecca Stimpson Thompson. She married Leland Muir on July 23, 1940, in the Logan Utah Temple. She enjoyed crafts and quilting. Her hobby was her grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church having served in Young Women's, Relief Society, and all the various auxiliaries. She served a mission with her husband to Pennsylvania Philadelphia from 1982-83. She was a temple worker in the Logan Temple. Over the years, she was a foster mother to 21 children. She is survived by her husband, Leland, of Fairview; two sons and two daughters, Leland (Carolyn) Muir, Jr., Twin Falls, Idaho; Grant E. Muir, Sr., Boise, Idaho; Donald Muir, Preston, Idaho; Latricia (Todd) Bybee, Logan, Utah; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three brothers, Irwin Thompson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Marvin (Leila) Thompson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Keith (Lorraine) Thompson, Reno, Nev.; and by two sisters, Lois Clark, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Lula Anderson, Fillmore, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, by five sisters Ruth, Vera, Dora, Beatrice, and Elna, and by two brothers, Floyd and Wayne. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, July 20, 2000, in the Fairview First Ward Chapel with Bishop Dirk Bowles conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Chesterfield, Idaho Cemetery.
