Id Obits Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Id/FranklinObits/254 Surname: Naef, Durrant, Wilkinson, Bennett ------------------------- The Ogden Standard-Examiner, Friday, December 1, 2000 OGDEN - Farold Douglas Naef, beloved husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 29, 2000 following an extended illness. His loving wife Delma, was by his side. Farold was born November 9, 1928, in Franklin, Idaho, to Orin Douglas and Ella Durrant Naef. Farold grew up in Franklin where he attended schools. He also attended Albion State Normal College. On June 9, 1952, he married Darleen Wilkinson in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away in October of 1952. In March of 1954, he married Renae Durrant. From this union were five children. They were later divorced. On January 16, 1971, he married Delma Bennett in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Farold was a member of the Ogden 15th LDS Ward where he was a High Priest. He served as a counselor in the Bishopric, Sunday School Teacher, Home Teacher, Ordinance Worker in the Ogden Temple for five years, and in various other callings. Hill Air Force Base employed Farold for 32 years as an electronic technician and mechanic specialist. Farold had a great love for camping and spending time with his family. He enlightened all who made contact with him with his wonderful sense of humor, and had a compassionate heart towards others. Farold was enthusiastic about working on and repairing electronics. He put this fine talent to work in serving others freely. Surviving are his wife, Delma, of Ogden; two daughters and four sons, Vicky (Tom) Clements, and Michael (Mari) Naef, both of Idaho; Kevin (Tammy) Naef, Arizona; Rochell (Nick) Hall, Utah; Chris (Tammy) Naef, Arizona; and Oliver (Debbie) Bennett, Harrisville. Farold left a great legacy of 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Raymond (LuDell) Naef, Idaho; Melba (Jim) Larsen, Salt Lake City. His parents, one daughter, Barbara Lynn Smallwood, one granddaughter, and one great grandson, preceded him in death. The family wishes to extend with grateful hearts special thanks to Ric and Susie Leyba, and Robert Rasband for all their loving help in his great time of need. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Franklin, Idaho City Cemetery.
