He was born Sept. 29, 1948 in Preston to Frank A. and Maxine Jensen Johnson. He married Lynne A. Johnson on Aug. 28, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. Clair was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings. He served a mission to the Philippines. He enjoyed the mountains and loved spending time with his family, and loved his dogs. Clair collected arrow heads and rocks and amassed an impressive collection of both. He is survived by his mother Maxine, of Preston; his children Shaun (Andrea) Johnson of Garland, UT, Brian (Virginia) Johnson of Preston, Doug (KaDee) Johnson of Preston; nine grandchildren; brothers, Larry Johnson of Preston, Frank Johnson of Rexburg, ID, Len Johnson of Cleveland, UT, Kim Johnson of Preston and Daryl Johnson of Preston; sisters, Janine Juhaz of Preston, Joene Hayes of Camdenton, MO, Sharon Baird of Inkom, ID, Marilyn Daley of Preston, Marie Smith of Winder and Billie Jo Petersen of Winder. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Johnson; and a sister, Betty Powell. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 1, 2007 in the Preston 5th Ward Chapel, 213 South 2nd East, with Bishop Craig Haslam conducting. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, in Preston, and Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
