Bright, 74, of Soda Springs, passed away at home surrounded by all her loving and supporting family on September 26, 2007. She was born June 22, 1933, in Grace, Idaho, the daughter of Kermit and Elsie Herd. She married Glen M. Bright on December 1, 1950, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Glen Bright and their five wonderful daughters, Jeri Lin and Jack Sturm, Tammie and Brad Smith, Diane and Kenny Daniels, all of Soda Springs, Julie and Donny Bright Harding, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan and Blaise Bright Moran of Victorville, Calif. She leaves 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by one brother, Kermit Herd Jr., of Logan, Utah; and two sisters, Hope and Gary Hymas, Logan, Utah, and Gay and Bill Abbott of Scotts Bar, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Gordon Glen Bright. Sharon was an LPN at Caribou Memorial Hospital for nearly 23 years before she retired in 1993. Her floor specialty was obstetrics. She enjoyed working with new babies and mothers, and seemed to have a special touch with them. She enjoyed family gatherings at the family summer home in Alpine, Wyoming. After retirement she and her husband spent the winter months in Overton, Nevada, where she made many friends. She loved her neighbors and all of her friends in Soda Springs. Sharon loved flowers and her gardening. She enjoyed feeding wild birds and loved the outdoors in the summer months. The highlight of her life was her daughters and her grandchildren. She loved them very much. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 29, at noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel. Friends may call on Friday evening, Sept. 28, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday at the Hooper Chapel from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Preston City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home. Dearest Wife, Mother and Grandmother, find peace and relief of pain with our Heavenly Father and Mother. Watch over us all. We love you and will miss you very much.
